Grape prices are within the reach of the common man

The grape season is in full swing. The wholesale market at the marketyard receives 30 to 35 tonnes of grapes daily. As the wool grows, so does the sweetness of the grapes. In the retail market, grapes are being sold at Rs 40 to Rs 100 per kg, depending on the grade. Grape prices have come within the reach of the common man due to increased inflows.
At present, the fruit market at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard is receiving 30 to 35 tons of grapes daily from Sangli, Solapur, Phaltan in Satara district and Baramati, Indapur and Narayangaon areas in Pune district. As the wool grows, so does the sweetness of the grapes. The grapes are graded well. The grape season will continue for the next one to one and a half months, said Arvind More, a grape trader at the market yard.
