Psychiatry course in a psychiatric hospital

Yerawada Regional Psychiatric Hospital will offer Post Graduate Psychiatry, Nursing Hospital Psychology and Psychological Social Work courses from next academic year. The superintendent of Yerawada Regional Psychiatric Hospital informed that such courses will meet the need of manpower in this field. Presented by Abhijit Phadnis.

The Yerawada Psychiatric Hospital has a capacity of 2540 patients and is currently treating 900 male and 600 female patients. On behalf of Karve Social Organization under Savitribai Phule Pune University, Psychological Social Worker, Nursing Hospital Psychology Certificate Course will be started in the first phase. After that, the post-graduate psychiatric course will be started after the inspection of the state and central medical councils.
