Export of 16 lakh tonnes of agricultural commodities
Due to the efforts of the State Agricultural Marketing Board, goods worth Rs 4,878 crore have been exported during the months of April to September. The state exports grapes, pomegranates, bananas, mangoes, oranges, onions and vegetables. A Special Export Cell has been set up under the Marketing Board to facilitate exporters and all stakeholders regarding availability of goods, packaging material, transportation of other goods, availability of containers from JNPT, various works including customs clearance at port, availability of phyto certificate. Sunil Pawar, Executive Director, Agriculture Marketing Board, said.
The Maharashtra State Agriculture Marketing Board has also started a Horticulture Export Training Course from December 2015 to increase export oriented activities and provide business opportunities to the youth at the international level. Through this course, export related training is imparted to farmers, representatives of farmer manufacturing companies, representatives of co-operative societies, new entrepreneurs.

It affects the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, European countries, the Netherlands, Russia, Thailand, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore, China, Nepal, Iran, and Dubai.
