Low-altitude dividers on Shivarkar Road are dangerous

Accidents are taking place on the low-altitude dividers from Maharashtra Bank to Shivarkar Garden on Shivarkar Road in Wanwadi. This includes damage to vehicles and the possibility of a fatal accident.

Two days ago, at night, a four-wheeler hit a divider in front of Maharashtra Bank. The vehicle was damaged but a major mishap was averted. When the divider is started, due to insufficient lighting of the street lights and lack of good quality reflectors at this place, the low height divider is not visible so the vehicle collides with the divider causing an accident.
After removing the broken dividers in Fatimanagar Chowk, the cement dividers for BRT route have been installed on Shivarkar Road in this chowk, but the four-wheeler had met with an accident at night last month as the street lights were off and the divider had no reflectors. So far in the last few months, there have been 5 to 6 accidents due to dividers on Shivarkar Road.
Therefore, the citizens are demanding that good quality reflectors should be installed at the divider on Shivarkar Road in Wanwadi and closed street lights at Fatimanagar Chowk should be started as soon as possible.
