Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple

The city’s most admired Ganpati Temple, built around 120 years back, is the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple. It was built by a sweet maker Shri Dagdusheth after he lost his son. The temple’s trust has since then carried on social work like providing medical care, education, building old age homes & orphanages, etc. People visit the temple in large numbers to pray to Lord Ganesha and attend grand celebrations of festivals like Gudi Padwa, and Ganeshotsava. The idol here is adorned by over 40 kilos of gold and is an absolutely beautiful sight.
