Chaturshringi Mata Temple
This temple, famous for its location on a mountain slope, is one of the most revered Hindu temples in Pune. Dating back to over 300 years to the era of the Peshwa merchant Durlabh Sheth Pitamberdas Mahajan who constructed this temple, it is an important abode of Goddess Chaturshringi and Lord Ganesha. An interesting thing here is a miniature version of the temple is constructed for devotees who are unable to climb the 100 steps that lead to the inner sanctum. The place is visited by thousands during the 9 holy days of Navratri to see the chariot procession.
