The area where the office of Daily News Paper 'Kesari' is situated is known as Narayan Peth. In 1773, Narayanrao Peshwa had built Narayan Peth when he was in Power. Narayan Peth's Gaikwad Wada built by the prince of Baroda, Sayajirao Gaikwad, is the place where Lokmanya Tilak had started the daily news Paper called Kesari in Maratha and Maratha in English., this Place is now known as 'Gaikwad Wada' or 'Kesari Wada'. The Wada consists of a big library and still has the offices of Kesari, and mementos of Tilak, including his writing desk original letters and documents, and the first India national flag unfurled by Madame Cama.
