Now travel smartly through ST buses
ST services were shut down last year due to Corona. After 'Unlock', the buses have started again. The State Transport Corporation has adopted 'digitalization' which includes the facility of 'smart card'. 1600 senior citizens were given smart cards after the unlock from Vallabh Nagar Depot.
Advantages of Smart Card -
- If you get a smart card, you don't have to carry cash when you travel.
- No need to carry Aadhar card or voting card.
How to get a smart card?
- Registrations have now started at Vallabhnagar Depot. A fee of Rs55 is charged from the senior citizens for registration.
- After registration, Aadhar card is linked to it and the concerned person receives the smart card in a span of 15 days.
- The first recharge has to be of Rs300 but after that, you can recharge the card between Rs100 to Rs5000.
- Ticket money is deducted from this card while traveling.
- Senior citizens can travel up to 4000 km at half the original ticket price.
