Missing the Deepotsav this year? Come, let’s reminisce it’s splendour together!
Every year, on the auspicious day of Padwa which is the 4th day of Diwali, Deepotsav is celebrated at Sarasbaug in large numbers. Since the past 20 years, the municipal corporation has been organizing this festival where the lawns are lined with thousands of lit diyas and beautiful rangolis. People, all decked up, start coming in at 3:30a.m. Along with the mesmerising view of the diyas, the sky is also adorned with a bunch of Chinese lanterns. With sunrise, the program comes to an end. The sight and the vibe of this Deepotsav are so appealing that in spite of the crowds and traffic, people attend it consistently each year.
