1800 applications for 54 gram panchayats

The election headquarters for the Gram Panchayat elections in 54 villages of Haveli taluka has been held at the Ganesh Kala Krida Mandir at Swargate. About 1800 people have filed nomination papers. Monday is the last day to withdraw candidature applications. This led to a large crowd of candidates, panel leaders and supporters in the area. As a result, traffic from Swargate to Saraswati was slow. The road is guarded by traffic police and the office is guarded by Swargate police. Gulal was also scattered here today as the land in many villages was uncontested.
