
Two killed on the spot in an accident at Baner
Balewadi: Two youths from Mahalunge died on the spot in a two-wheeler accident near De Mart in Baner. The accident took place on (8th) between half past one in the morning. Currently, work is underway to develop sidewalks on both sides of the road at Baner Road from Smart City. Both the children died on the spot in the accidents. De Mart near Sadanand Chowk in Baner, and Westside Shopping Mall in Ta. Tejas Sharma (26, Mulgaon Jaipur) and Devashish Saxena (24, Mulgaon Bhopal) died on the spot in Kawasaki Sport Bike accidents on the 8th. Both of them were currently living at Metro Jas Society in Mahalunge. Both of them had been living in Pune for work for about a year and a half. The road has been dug on both sides of the road from Smart City at Baner Road as footpath development work is underway on both sides of the road. The accident took place on the side of the road between De Mart and Westside on the way from Pune University to Mumbai-Bangalore highway between 1.30 am. At the time of the accident, the children's two-wheeler fell into a three-and-a-half to four-foot ditch. As a result, the children were seriously injured. Police Inspector Vijay Kumar Lambature of Chathushrungi Police Station and his other support staff rushed to the spot after receiving information about the accident from the night police marshal. He rushed the injured to Aundh Hospital. Doctors examined and declared the two children dead. It was not immediately clear how the accident happened. Further investigations are being carried out by Rajesh Malegaon, Assistant Inspector of Police, Chathushrungi Police Station.
