Meeting regarding Baner-Pashan Link Road.
Aundh: A meeting was held recently between Municipal Engineer Prashant Waghmare, Road Department's Dinkar Gojare, Sandeep Khardekar, Pralhad Saikar and Rahul Kokate regarding the stalled work of Baner Link Road. Kothrud MLA and BJP state president Chandrakant Patil had met the people last month and told them that a meeting would be held to review the link road. Prahlad Saikar and Rahul Kokate demanded expeditious completion of the land acquisition process. Prashant Waghmare said that many road works were stalled due to land owners demanding cash compensation and lack of funds. If the citizens accept the option of TDR, the development work will be completed faster. The Corporation is also formulating this policy in the case of Reservation Credit Bond. He also said that this option would be universal and would expedite the process of land acquisition. He said that Rs 58,000 crore is required to acquire all the land in the DP, of which 30 per cent would be for roads. Waghmare also clarified that many organs will have to think while formulating the policy. The meeting was organized by the coordinator Sandeep Khardekar.
