Shewalewadi boycotts elections
The villagers are confused as both the election of Shewalewadi village and the inclusion of the village in the Municipal Corporation are going on at the same time. Therefore, the citizens have decided to hold a meeting together and boycott the elections.
The Gram Panchayat election process has already started in Shewalwadi village, which is the eastern gateway to the new city boundary. Now the process of municipal inclusion and Gram Panchayat elections are underway at the same time. The process of filing candidature application is currently underway. The voting process will take place on January 15. There is also a notification of inclusion in the village municipal corporation. If NMC enters, Gram Panchayat will be dismissed. To find a way out of this, all-party village leaders and activists held a meeting of the villagers.
