Movement in the Market Yard; Shivneri Road

A joint encroachment operation is being carried out from Utsav Chowk to Post Office Chowk on Satara Road by the Encroachment Department of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee Administration, Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation. 

On Thursday, the encroachers staged a protest on the street in front of the committee's head office. So for some time Shivneri Road was closed. But due to police intervention, the road was reopened.

Assistant Secretary Ram Ghadge, Assistant Secretary Deepak Shinde, Head of Security Department Deepak Salve, Rajendra Memane, Inspector of Police Brahmanand Naikwadi, Corporator Pravin Chorbele, Dinesh Lalvani and other office bearers were present on behalf of the protesters. As the administrator of the committee is on leave, a decision will be taken in the meeting on Monday.
