Sadashiv Peth

A house to many old wadas, cultural and educational institutes is Sadashiv Peth. This Peth is named in the memory of Sadashivrao Peshwa who lost his life in the war of Panipat in 1761. Earlier this area was built to provide shelter to military soldiers. Eventually, civilians also started residing in this area. ‘Raja Kelkar Museum’, ‘Maratha Chambers of Commerce’, ‘Tilak Smarak Mandir’ and many more important institutions are located in this area. It also hosts the famous ‘Vishrambaug Wada’, ‘Saras Baug’ and ‘Bhikardas Maruti’.  Talayatalya Ganapati is one of the attractions of this place.
