A Heritage Walk

A house to many old wadas, cultural, and educational institutes is Sadashiv Peth. This Peth is named in the memory of Sadashivrao Peshwa, who lost his life in the war of Panipat in 1761. Earlier, this area was built to provide shelter to military soldiers. Eventually, civilians also started residing in this area. The Raja Kelkar Museum, Maratha Chambers of Commerce, Tilak Smarak Mandir, and many more important institutions are located in this area. It also hosts the famous Vishrambaug Wada, Saras Baug, and Bhikardas Maruti.
