Increase in Muskmelon and Papaya prices

In Pune, melon and papaya prices rose on Sunday, while watermelon prices fell. Prices of Chiku, Pineapple, Custard apple, Bora, Citrus, Orange, Pomegranate and Lemon remained stable. 5 trucks of pineapple from Kerala, 40 tons of citrus, 30 to 35 tons of oranges, 30 to 35 tons of pomegranate, 5 to 12 bags of papaya, 2.5 to 3 thousand bags of lemon, 2 thousand bags of chiku, 10 to 15 bags of watermelon 20 tempos, 5 to 6 tons of custard apple, one thousand to twelve hundred sacks arrived.

Fruit prices are: Lemon (counter): 200-300, Pineapple (dozen): 70-270, Citrus: (3 dozen): 180-500, (4 dozen): 80-180, Orange: (10 kg): 100 -300, Pomegranate (per kg): Saffron: 40-180, Ganesha: 10-40, Arcta 10-60. Kalingad: 5-7, Melon: 15-22, Papaya: 5-12, Chiku: 100-500, Custard apple 10-120.
